Sermorelin's documented results are from the trials that supported its former FDA approval in children with growth-hormone deficiency, where it increased growth velocity. It works by prompting the pituitary to release growth hormone. But the "before and after" people search for — fat loss, muscle and anti-ageing changes in healthy adults — is not backed by controlled trials: those uses are off-label and unproven, and sermorelin's US products were withdrawn in 2008.
